HCCC Seeks Texas Craft Masters for Distinction-Nominate Now!

Piero Fenci, 2013 Texas Master honoree

Know of a Master? Houston Center for Contemporary Craft is currently seeking nominations for its next honoree. Begun in 2005, HCCC’s Texas Masters Series honors career artists in Texas who have dedicated themselves to the field of craft. Past Masters include Harlan Butt, Cindy Hickok, Rachelle Thiewes and Piero Fenci.

Nominees must be living and working in Texas in craft media: wood, metal, glass, ceramic, fiber and/or mixed media,  and  must have received recognition for high levels of excellence and success in their discipline and/or made a significant impact in the craft community through their work, guidance, and contributions to the field. The chosen artist will receive a one-person show and serve on the jury panel for HCCC’s biennial exhibition, CraftTexas 2016.
