Nasher Garden on TCLF’s “Landslide” List of Endangered Landscapes

by Bill Davenport October 13, 2012

The Cultural Landscape Foundation, a Washington D.C. based org that aims to raise awareness of historically important landscapes like The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Burlington, Vermont and the White House, has included the Nasher Sculpture Garden on its annual list of “Endangered Landscapes,” causing the Nasher to issue a public statement of surprised thanks last Wednesday: “We appreciate that this national organization along with so many of the people of North Texas have expressed concern for the impact Museum Tower is having on the Nasher, one of North Texas’ greatest cultural assets. We continue to work diligently with the representatives of Museum Tower and are confident that a design solution exists that will eliminate the reflections throughout the neighborhood.”
