Longtime MECA Supporter Emily Zermeno to Retire

After 35 years of service to Houston’s MECA, beloved supporter and communications mananger Emily Zermeno is retiring. MECA is inviting all friends and colleagues of Emily Zermeno to celebrate 35 years of service at her retirement party on August 10th at 6pm in the MECA auditorium. RSVP to

Zermeno joined MECA as a volunteer in 1977, coordinating the logistics for the Old Sixth Ward Fun ‘n’ Food Fest. She served as a Board member and later as MECA’s Communications Manager, as well as providing philanthropic support to MECA throughout these 35 years.  Although Zermeno will no longer be at MECA on a daily basis, she will continue as a volunteer.
