In the big art car city, it had to happen: art car theft. The Houston Chronicle reports on the loss and recovery of Shelley Buschur’s award-winning art car titled “Make Out Not War,” a light blue Chevy 3500 pickup decorated with red lips and word baloons. Buschur drives the truck daily, but returned from the Free Press summer Fest on Sunday night to find her driveway empty: someone had made off with “Make Out”.
Filing the police report was unusual, but the truck was found Monday afternoon in a parking lot along Harrisburg in east Houston, with a damaged ignition.
