ARTkaty: Houston Ex-urb’s First Fine Art Fair Hits Katy High School Saturday

Katy is on a roll! Last month, FotoFest Katy featured 11 exhibitions by local art spaces in the West-of-Houston-but-not-quite-a-suburb town. Now they are about to debut their first fine art fair.  Presented by the Katy Culture & Arts Alliance (KCAA), ARTkaty is underwritten by Wilson Street Gallery, the City of Katy, and Tradarte, an art consulting firm.  ARTkaty opens Saturday, April 28 from 10am-5pm at Katy High School, 6331 Highway Blvd., in conjunction with the Katy/West Houston Jazz Festival.

The roster of participating “professional and semi-professional” artists so far includes: Debi Beauregard, Fatima Donaldson, Nubia Gala, Robert Berrymore, Rodrigo Aguilera, Marguerite Baldwin, Sandra Aristizabal, Vivian Leflore Mora, Eugenia Algaze Garcia, Mali Londono, Linda Dautreuil, Paola Isola, Raquel Ocando and Carolina Buitrago.
