Houston Art Partners Conference on Arts in Education at MFAH Coming Sept. 13

by Bill Davenport September 9, 2011

The annual Houston Arts Partners Conference happens September 13 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, this time focused on Arts Education. Despite its 1984ish title “Shaping the Future of Education and Creating 21st Century Leaders,” the conference has simple, real-world goals: participants learn to navigate and access the wealth of arts education resources and research available and apply them in the classroom. NPR Education Correspondent Claudio Sanchez and Dr. Stephen Klineberg, Professor of Sociology at Rice University will be the keynote speakers for an all-day raft of talks, workshops and programs.
