Non-profit powers-that-be (no Texans) listed and discussed on ArtsJournal and Barry’s Blog

by Bill Davenport September 7, 2011

Barry’s Blog, “news, advice and opinions for the arts administrator” published its list of the 25 most powerfuls arts administrators a couple days ago (no one Texan among them), and it’s already being dissected by Diane Ragsdale (number 22) on ArtsJournal! Just a skim of either piece  gives you an idea of the shape and size of the non-profit arts-admin world,  as well as the currently fashionable corporate wanna-be culture that’s replacing the old “beggar with pencil-cup” paradigm among non-profit cultural entrepreneurs.

Actually, there does appear to be a Texan on the list: “18. Gigi Antoni – Executive Director, Big Thought, Dallas Texas
Highly respected policy wonk with notable success in moving arts education forward in the face of all obstacles. Strong national presence. Her fan base is growing as her profile gets wider play.”
