The Menil Collection and surrounding non-profit orgs are hosting a free afternoon of art and entertainment today, Saturday, March 13, from 11-4pm. Musical performances, snack trucks, art, readings, art shows at the Menil and the Joanna’a new "Joannex" at 1401 Branard and a whole lotta picnics. Participating Houston orgs include: the Art Colony Association, Aurora Picture Show, Byzantine Fresco Chapel Museum, Da Camera, Inprint, The Menil Collection, Southwest Alternate Media Project, Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts, the Rothko Chapel, Watercolor Art Society-Houston, and Writers in the Schools.
