by Bill Davenport September 17, 2009

New-media aggregators Rhizome are featuring Houston artist Brian Piana’s Ellsworth Kelly Hacked My Twitter project on their homepage today! Created as part of a Glasstire virtual residency, the piece makes a grid of color-coded squares out of Piana’s collected tweets.  According to Piana "Kelly’s color square pieces are arranged in an arbitrary sequence, whereas this piece is a direct chronological representation of my Twitter feed. While unpredictable, it is certainly not arbitrary. So, as a title, "Ellsworth Kelly Hacked My Twitter" only holds up on a visual level and not a conceptual one."
