UT Austin’s new Visual Arts Center will be opened up for preview tours this Saturday, says Jeanne Claire Van Ryzin of the Austin American Statesman. Scheduled for completion in 2010, the $5 million renovation, designed by San Antonio architects Lake/Flato, will add 22,000 sf of graduate art studios and exhibition space. Tours will begin every half hour from 10am to 1pm at the College of Fine Arts University Co-Op Student Center on the ground floor of the Doty Fine Arts Building. RSVP required.
