Dash Snow dies

by Bill Davenport July 15, 2009

Dash Snow, 27, great-grandson of Texas art philanthropist Dominique de Menil, has died of a heroin overdose in New York. The young man, who supplied what Ariel Levy termed "that magic flash of insanity, framed and for sale" in her 2007 New York Magazine profile of the promising grafitti writer and underground photographer, leaves behind parents, grandparents, siblings, his partner Jade Berreau, and an infant daughter.

I just wanted to say that Dash was one of the nicest, most sincere people that I have ever met. I am pretty sure that anyone that met him will miss him.
