In 1965, it was the eighth wonder of the world; today, the Astrodome is vacant and its fate is uncertain; and tonight, there will be movies about the big dome in the big diamond as Aurora picture Show brings two films about the Astrodome to Houston’s Contemporary Arts Museum: Geoff Winningham’s 1975 documentary The Pleasures of this Stately Dome, and TVTV’s The Lord of the Universe, about sixteen-year-old guru Maharaj Ji’s 1973 dome levitation event.
