Mexico-Austin Artist Exchange

Emerging Mexican artist Diego Pérez García will be the first to particiapte in the new Mexico-Austin Artist Exchange. He’ll spend one month at the University of Texas developing ideas and projects from March1-31, giving a talk at the Blanton on Thursday, March 12 and meeting with  classes at UT. Everyone’s got a piece of the action: hosted by the Blanton Museum of Art’s Latin American department, in collaboration with the Creative Research Lab at the Department of Art and Art History and the Mexican Center at the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies, this residency is part of the Programa Arte Actual Bancomer, organized by the Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil (Mexico City) and Bancomer BBVA.
