The Dallas Museum of Art Grants to Artists deadline has been extended to Friday, March 13- and you’ll need it, since they apparently require 35 mm slides or VHS tape for their application. The DeGolyer Fund hands out up to $1500 to artists between 15 and 25, who live in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, or Colorado. The Kimbrough Fund up to $3500 to Texas artists under 30. Older Texas artists, 30+, can apply for the Dozier Travel Grant.

The DMA does accept digital entries however they have not updated their online application with this new info. You have to specifically ask for it. They are supposed to be changing it sometime soon.

The person (girl?) I spoke to said that they do accept digital images. Actually, dig. images are the preferred format for submission. The link on the website takes you to an older application, but if you call (214) 922-1334 they can send you a recent app with the digital image guidelines. I think his/her name is Erin Murphy and his/her email is: [email protected]
