No dough flow in El Paso

Word on the web is that the city of El Paso is considering budget cuts for the El Paso Museum of Art that would mean closing it three days a week, as well as closing the El Paso Museum of History for six months. (For some pathetic and hilarious reading, try to find the actual mission statement in El Paso’s mission statement.)

[UPDATE: If you hurry, you can make the budget hearing for Museum and Cultural
Affairs in El Paso. TODAY, Wednesday, July 16 at 9 am in City Council
chambers on the second floor of City Hall. According to email from Jeff
Litchfield of El Paso’s Forum Arts and Culture, the propsal to cut funding for the El Paso Museum of Art needs protesting!]
