American YouthWorks , an organization that runs chareter schools for at-risk kids in Austin, is having it’s Spring Art Show and Silent Auction, tomorrow night. Artwork by students and Austin professionals including Matthew Rodriguez, (recently picked up by NY police for pasting up street art while wearing a rooster suit), William Hundley, Paul Moncus and Jeffrey Dell will be for sale through silent auction. Part of the money from the sale of each artwork goes to the school art program for art supplies. Friday May 23 from 6-9 pm, at the AYN’s downtown campus (AKA the old warehouse) at 216 E. 4th Street, Austin. Music by The Mediums at 8pm. FREE, but donations are gladly accepted at the door.
