New Taniguchi building for Asia Society

Mayor Bill White will join architect Yoshio Taniguchi for the ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Asia Society Texas Center. 10 am, Thursday, May 15 at 1370 Southmore Boulevard, Houston. A mock-up of the building’s two-story entrance corner will be on view to allow Taniguchi to study and refine plans for the new construction, his second project in the Us (after his work on New York’s MOMA) Not to mention Central Asian music, Indian rangoli paintings and Chinese Lion Dancers and Yao Ming.
