The San Antonio Express-News has some profiles of artists and projects that will be part of the upcoming Luminaria mega-event in San Antonio this Saturday.
Gabriel Velasquez is working on an installation with Jesus "Chista" Cantu he describes as a "cosmic ofrenda." Patrick McMillan has been designing dance-diagram feet that will be beamed from windows downtown. Refarm Spectacle will scatter 30 carved books around Houston St., and though they admit it has nothing to do with glass, the Society of Artisan Lampworkers is going to have fire dancers.
