Reason enough

Cool things temporarily on view at TX museums: the DMA's recent acquisition of 82 photographs by Swiss artists Peter Fischli and David Weiss (through Nov. 18); the Menil has the gigantic 9×20' Barnett Newman painting Ana's Light, on special loan from the Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art (through January 20); and the MFAH has Jean-Baptiste Oudry's restored painting of a rhinoceros that's been in the news (here and here) as part of its Oudry's Painted Menagerie show (though January 6). Sometimes it's worth going to the museum to see just one piece…
