Cool things temporarily on view at TX museums: the DMA's recent acquisition of 82 photographs by Swiss artists Peter Fischli and David Weiss (through Nov. 18); the Menil has the gigantic 9×20' Barnett Newman painting Ana's Light, on special loan from the Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art (through January 20); and the MFAH has Jean-Baptiste Oudry's restored painting of a rhinoceros that's been in the news (here and here) as part of its Oudry's Painted Menagerie show (though January 6).
