An assortment of MFAH news: 1. Mel Chin's film 9-11/9-11 is screening Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 6pm, followed by a live vieo conference with people affected by the Twin Towers attacks and the 1973 Chilean military coup; 2. Notorious MSG is performing at the last Starbucks Mixed Media event on Saturday, Sept. 22; 3. we didn't include the upcoming show of Helen Drutt's avant-garde jewelry in our Fall Preview, but it deserves to be singled out as a show with big fancy expectations!!! Opens Sept. 30; 4. lastly, a pair of 17th-c. Japanese screens in the museum's collection have been selected for conservation and display in May '08 by the Tokyo National Museum. Whew!
