I get a fair number of invitations to previews and openings, but this is the best in sometime.
I got an invitation from Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to preview 50 miles of new HOV lanes. At first I thought they were going to load us onto luxury tour buses and take us around the city, but it turns out to just be open houses. One is in a bank lobby on East R.L. Thornton Freeway, where refreshments will be served, and the other is at an IHOP on I-30 and Cockrell Hill Road. No mention of free food, so I guess you have to buy your own pigs in a blanket.
I will probably not attend, but I feel like I have finally made the A List.
