A few years ago, everyone was writing off Art Chicago as hopelessly not the Armory or Miami, but the fair has stuck it out, and has burgeoned some of the best artist-run parasite fairs and events of any big art fair. Check out Version Fest, where Texans Randall Garrett and Teresa O’Connor will perform later this month as part of the NFO Expo. (Garrett’s Dallas gallery Plush will also present confusion, say, a one-day event on April 29th, featuring installation/video/ performance by Eric Doeringer, Edra Soto, Donna Huanca and Harlan Lovestone.)
